adidas, Girls on the Run, and Amazon believe in the power of sport, and see young girls as a group that has limitless and untapped potential to improve our world. Believing every girl should have access to sport and the lifelong benefits it provides, we were tasked to help create a campaign on Amazon that will help them unlock their limitless potential through running and education by supporting the Girls on the Run charity.
Create a customized shopping experience of adidas products on Amazon where a portion spent will go to support Girls on the Run.
To raise customer awareness and support the campaign, we worked with Amazon Smile to present the “adidas Supporter Collection,” a group of products where 5% of purchases will be donated to the Girls on the Run.
To allow customers to browse and shop the collection directly from the campaign landing page more seemlessly, I optimized a custom component to improve the shopping experience by allowing customers to shop each look via dynamic hot spots for each item of clothing.
To make the charitable donation simpler, I also worked with the development team to allow customers to set their charity to Girls on the Run on Amazon Smile with a single click. Allowing for current and future purchases to support the charity when they shop across all of Amazon.
I designed the wireframes during the UX phase of the project, working directly with the adidas client and their creative team to help them understand Amazon page functionality and capabilities. I then happened to be promoted to a Creative Director within my team, so I transitioned to providing design direction on the final site design created by a fellow designer, as well as overseeing the project through to launch.
The campaign raised $120,000+, supporting over 209,000 girls in communities across the U.S in 2019. The client also specifically requested to work with me again on the next campaign (always a lovely thing to hear).
